Summer Job Opportunity!

Are you a high school student with a passion and interest for the environment and do you enjoy spending time outside? We have a PAID summer job opportunity for you!

Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge is excited to be offering paid summer positions through the Youth Conservation Corps Program for students ages 15-18! This program will run from late May to early August and will give students the opportunity to receive hands-on experience working alongside U.S. Fish and Wildlife staff to help with a variety of projects at Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge.

Projects may include trail maintenance, sea turtle nesting and hatching work, construction work around the refuge office, occasional surveys of other St. Croix Wildlife Refuges, invasive plant species removal, endangered plant surveys, assisting with the Turtle Watch educational program, beach cleanups, and much more!

Sandy Point YCC alumni have gone on pursue science-related career paths! This is a wonderful opportunity, and the Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge is excited to be able to offer this to the students of St. Croix. The work that YCC students complete during their program makes a big difference in Virgin Islands marine conservation!
