Cottages by the Sea You can find our turtle team at the reception desk at Cottages by the Sea daily from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Purchase our t-shirts, long sleeves and other gifts anytime between 10 am to 9 pm, when Cottages is open.
Visitors – If you are visiting St. Croix, and interested in programs, please fill out an interest form here. We may be able to accommodate some very limited requests, as our priority is hosting programs for the St. Croix community.
2026 Events Completed
14-16 February Virgin Islands AgriFest at the Fairgrounds, Estate Lower Love, St. Croix. The St. Croix Sea Turtle Project so much enjoyed meeting many new people and sharing our love for sea turtles of the VI with you! Thank you for buying t-shirts, and symbolically adopting hatchlings! In collaboration with STAR – Sea Turtle Assistance and Rescue.
2025 Events Completed
Striving Artists Day We were at Estate Whim Museum for this awesome annual tradition. Sunday 30 November. 10 am to 5 pm.
Fitter Futures Food Truck Festival Lots of fun at Leatherback Brewing! Saturday 6 December. Noon to 5 pm.
Kidsville Crucian Christmas Incredibly proud to have been part of this amazing event for St. Croix children! Sunday 14 December. Children’s Museum, Carlton.
Coastweeks Cleanup The 40th Annual International Coastal Cleanup on Saturday 20 September – 9 am to 11 am, hosted by the VI Marine Advisory Service was a great success🦀
Mango Melee We had a great time at this amazing festival on Sunday 13 July at the St. George Village Botanical Garden. We had a vendor booth with your favorite t-shirts, long sleeve sunshirts, handmade crafts and hatchling adoptions (crochet turtles). Thanks for your support!
Sea Turtle Week Special Event On Sunday 15 June, we celebrated Leatherback Day with a sunset beach walk at Sandy Point. We had over 50 participants join us and complete the walk 🦀
Sea Turtle Week Special Event On Thursday 12 June, we celebrated Loggerhead Day with a Sea Turtle Trivia Night at Leatherback Brewery. Hosted by STAR – Sea Turtle Assistance and Rescue, we tested participant’s sea turtle knowledge and gave away lots of great prizes 🎉
Sea Turtle Week Special Event A fun and informative night on Friday 6 June for NPS After Dark – All the sea turtle conservation groups presented their programs and interacted with the public. Support the Buck Island Sea Turtle Research Program at this link.

Events in 2024
10 February Science Saturday Hosted by DPNR, featuring outreach presenter Ellie, who will announce our programs for 2024 at Sandy Point. Watch the presentation here.
19 April Earth Day Eco Fair An amazing event put on by the St. Croix Environmental Association at the St. George Village Botanical Garden. We will be there with turtle activities for 3-6 grade students.
1 May – 1 September Sea Turtle Art Contest Open Enter your artwork to be entered into a competition to develop our outreach programs. Read more on the rules and see the entry form here!
8-16 June Sea Turtle Week We hosted a beach cleanup at Sandy Point.
29 June to 5 July Coral Reef Week Hosted by the St. Croix East End Marine Park and DPNR. A great event.
7 July 28th Annual Mango Melee Fun festival at the St. George Village Botanical Garden. We had all our turtle t-shirts, homemade crafts and sea turtle info there for you! See you next year.
13-19 October 2024 National Wildlife Refuge Week at Sandy Point.
