Welcome to our Twelve Days of Turtles! For the next twelve days, we’ll share with you how to get involved with the St. Croix Leatherback Project, and practical ways for you to help sea turtle conservation around the world.
Today is the First Day – it’s Giving Tuesday today and Facebook and Paypal are matching the first 7 MILLION dollars given to charities starting at 8 am Eastern Standard Time. Our fundraiser started yesterday and we are well on our way to raising $1,500 to support our leatherback satellite tracking program for next season. We are hoping to discover how leatherbacks nesting at St. Croix are distributing their nests in one season around the Northern Caribbean. We are tracking Enid Fern right now, so we can expect something like this from turtles next year as well.
